This summer we will celebrate our ninth year on the wonderful waterways of Europe. We are pleased that in this time we have become one of the most successful charter operations in France. We live aboard our luxury Dutch barge named "Imagine" outfitted to take up to four guests cruising on the rivers and canals of Burgundy. The barge is our home for seven months of every year but we invite you to join us in an experience we call "Barge and Breakfast". You will live with us as we explore new locations, find great places to shop and eat, tour museums and generally enjoy life.
We will pick you up at a nearby train station and drive you to our boat in our air-conditioned mini-van. Unpack your bags in your private, air conditioned, stateroom with modern en-suite facilities and then enjoy a welcome aboard dinner. Breakfasts will include fresh croissants, cereals, fruits and breads from the local boulangeries. We'll provide a buffet lunch, often taken on deck, including local pates, terrines, cheeses, salads, breads and a selection of local wines.
After breakfast you can just cruise along or try your hand at piloting the barge. You might also want to join in as we work our way through the canal locks. The pace is slow enough to walk or bicycle the canal paths as we find the perfect places to stop for lunches and dinners. For dinner we will decide if we would like to prepare a gourmet meal on board or set off to enjoy the fare of a local restaurant.
Several sightseeing trips will be included. We like to visit area markets, old towns and churches and local wineries.
As a small, privately owned, operation we can give the same comforts and opportunities of the larger hotel boats at a fraction of their cost. Each cruise is limited to you and your party so we can offer greater flexibility and personalize your cruise.
